High Above in
Chamarel's Coffee Fields
Nestled in the highlands of southwestern Mauritius, Chamarel is a picturesque village shaped by altitude, volcanic soil, and a rare microclimate. Our Arabica coffee grows at 280 metres above sea level, far lower than the altitude it usually demands. Constant humidity, soft light, and mineral-rich earth create steady growing conditions that bring depth and balance to every bean.

The Coffee Tour Experience forms part of the Geopark's key attractions, alongside the iconic waterfall, Seven-Coloured Earth dunes, tortoise park, and endemic garden offering a multi-sensory journey through the rich landscape of Chamarel.
ust a short drive from major tourist hubs, Chamarel is a must-visit destination for those seeking authentic and immersive experiences.

The Art of
Coffee Making
From plant to cup, Café de Chamarel's journey begins in rich volcanic soil. Grown sustainably and hand-harvested between May and July, each cherry goes through careful fermentation, washing, drying, and roasting. Over 25 people shape the process, making every cup of Café de Chamarel a true reflection of craftsmanship and nature's rhythm.
